"Best Chai in Bedstuy!" - Soull O, Brooklyn, NY
:::TrīDevī's Recipe:::
In a Pot Add: ◇ 2 cups of water ◇ Fresh grated ginger (the more you put the more kick it will have) Start with a small piece grated like the size of your pinkyand add more based on your preference of intensity ◇ 1/2 tsp of #tridevimasalachai mix (the more you add the more intense the spices flavor) ◇ Black tea (if loose then 1 teaspoon) if bag then 1 bag sweetener of choice and add to desired sweetness ◇ Put on high heat and let it all boil down to about 1.5 cups of water so the spices really infuse the water with flavor. ◇ then add 1 cup of oat milk, if you want it really thick add 1.5 cups (50/50 ratio water to oatmilk is what we do). Look for a caramel tone similar to the picture displayed ◇ Let it come to a rapid boil again* *Here is the trick, you have to watch it at this point and be close by because you want to wait until it froths up and almost boils over then lower the heat to a simmer and let it simmer for another 2-3mins. ◇ Strain and serve The most important ingredients are love, presence and intention. Every cup we serve is always made with special care. Enjoy! |
TRĪDEVĪ haldi doodh aka golden milk RECIPE
:::TrīDevī's Recipe:::
◇ For One cup: ◇ Warm 50/50 ratio water to your preferred milk alternative ratio (i.e 1/2 cup water, 1/2 'milk) or for an extra creamy cup use only oatmilk with no water. We use Oat milk for its creaminess and because it doesn't coagulate when boiled. ◇ Add 1/2tsp of #TrīDevī 's Haldi Gulab Masala mix, some fresh grated ginger and maple syrup as a sweetner. ◇ Boil together ◇ Strain and serve enjoy 💛 |
